MFA on Lavrov’s statement on dialog behind Ukraine’s back: No reason to believe this lie

Ukraine has no reason to believe the statements of Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov that France allegedly offered Russia a dialogue on the Russian-Ukrainian war without Kyiv's participation through "closed channels".
Foreign Ministry spokesman Heorhii Tykhyi said this at a briefing, Censor.NET reports citing NV.
He emphasized that there is no reason to believe Russia's latest lies, but there are reasons to trust our allies.
The purpose of these comments is clear: to sow discord between Ukraine and France, between Ukraine and its allies, between allies. This is Russia's general strategy, which they constantly follow," the MFA spokesman said.
Tykhyi noted that Lavrov is not only a war criminal, but also a pathological liar.
"This is a man who claimed that the bombing of the maternity hospital in Mariupol, the atrocities committed by Russians in Bucha were staged, they were fakes. It seems to me that after these words, to accept any of his revelations is to disrespect oneself. We have no reason to believe these lies," the Foreign Ministry spokesman added.
To recap, the day before, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that France had allegedly offered Russia a dialogue on the Russian-Ukrainian war without Ukraine's participation.
