MFA refutes El Pais article on suspension of financial aid to refugees: Ukraine’s goal is to create positive motivation
MFA spokesperson Heorhii Tykhyi denied a number of claims made in the El Pais article about the return of Ukrainian citizens from the EU.
This was reported by Censor.NET with reference to the press centre of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
"Some of the statements in this article are incorrect. Firstly, the Ukrainian government is not negotiating to cut aid to Ukrainian citizens in the EU;
Secondly, men of conscription age have access to consular services in accordance with the current legislation," the statement said.
According to Tykhyi, the government's goal is to create positive motivation, not obstacles, to encourage the voluntary return of our citizens.
El Pais reported that Ukraine allegedly wants EU countries to stop providing financial assistance to refugees.
