Syrskyi on situation in Donetsk region: Enemy conducts continuous meaty assaults, suffering record losses. PHOTO
Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi worked in units and subdivisions conducting a defensive operation in the Donetsk region.
He posted this on Facebook, Censor.NET reports.
According to him, these areas remain the most intense.
"The enemy continues to carry out incessant meaty assaults, suffering record losses. Thus, over the past week, the invaders have been losing about 1,700 people killed and wounded every day, and this year this figure has already reached 427,000. The lion's share of these losses is the result of the heroic actions of our soldiers in Donetsk region," the Commander-in-Chief said.
He also noted that measures have been worked out with the commanders to increase the effectiveness of fire damage to the enemy, securely hold the borders and positions, ensure an uninterrupted supply of ammunition and drones, and strengthen the units engaged in defence on the front line.
"Particular attention is paid to providing medical units with everything they need and organising the effective evacuation of wounded soldiers.
Our goal in this area is to destroy the enemy and its reserves as much as possible," Syrskyi sums up.
Earlier, Syrskyi said that since the beginning of the year, the losses of Russian troops have exceeded 421 thousand people. In 2024, the enemy paid the highest price since the beginning of the invasion.
