Zelenskyy dismisses deputy head of OP Mashovets

Zelenskyy dismisses Roman Mashovets from the post of Deputy Head of the Presidential Office

President Zelenskyy has dismissed Roman Mashovets from the post of Deputy Head of the Presidential Office.

The corresponding decree No. 889/2024 of December 30 was published on the website of the head of state, Censor.NET reports.

"To dismiss Mashovets Roman Vasylovych from the post of Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine," the document says.

According to NV's sources, Zelenskyy has some complaints about the work of Mashovets, who was in charge of the military in the Presidential Office.

"First of all, the president needs timely and real information from the front, information about the needs of the military, so Palisa [Yermak's deputy] was chosen," the source said.

Initially, as noted. Mashovets was supposed to be in charge of international affairs, as he participated in almost all foreign visits of the head of state, and the newly appointed deputy of Yermak, Colonel of the 93rd Brigade Pavlo Palisa, would have been in charge of the military. However, this will not happen.

"Palisa is duplicating Mashovets' functions, and from the very beginning, when he was invited by Yermak to the OP, it was clear that Roman would leave the OP, especially since he keeps in touch with Kyrylo Budanov, and this has also been a trigger for a long time," the source told NV.

According to the source, they are considering the option that Mashovets will go to work in the DIU. However, the official himself did not respond or comment on the information about his dismissal.
