Russia’s attacks are most intense at Pokrovsk, Lyman and Kurakhove directions. Total of 168 clashes - General Staff
On 30 December 2024, 168 combat clashes between the Defence Forces and the Russian invaders were recorded.
This is stated in the report of the General Staff, Censor.NET informs.
Shelling of Ukraine
Yesterday, the enemy launched one missile attack on the positions of Ukrainian units and populated areas using one missile. In addition, it carried out almost 4,500 shellings, including 198 from multiple launch rocket systems, and used 1,864 kamikaze drones to attack.
Strikes on the enemy
Yesterday, the aviation, missile forces and artillery of the Defence Forces conducted four strikes on the areas of concentration of enemy personnel and weapons, an ammunition depot and six other important enemy targets.
Hostilities in the east
In the Kharkiv sector, two hostile attacks were repelled in the vicinity of Vovchansk and Lyptsi.
In the Kupyansk sector, 16 occupiers' attacks took place over the last day. Ukrainian defence forces repelled enemy assaults near Holubivka, Stepova Novoselivka, Kruhliakivka and Zahryzove.
The enemy attacked in the Lyman direction 22 times. It tried to advance near the settlements of Kopanky, Nadiia, Novoiehorivka, Makiivka, Ivanivka and Terny.
The enemy once tried to force our defenders from their positions near Bilohorivka in the Siverskyi sector by assault.
In the Kramatorsk sector, the occupiers attacked 12 times in the areas of Chasiv Yar and Stupochky.
In the Toretsk sector, the enemy carried out 12 attacks near Toretsk and Shcherbynivka.
In the Pokrovsk sector, our defenders stopped 40 assault and offensive actions of the aggressor in the areas of Vozdvyzhenka, Myroliubivka, Promin, Zelene, Dachenske, Novyi Trud, Shevchenko, Vovkove, Novoolenivka and Novoielyzavetivka.
Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled 21 attacks in the Kurakhove sector. The enemy made the main efforts in the areas of Petropavlivka, Slovianka, Shevchenko and Kurakhove.
In the Vremivka sector, the enemy attacked our positions 17 times near Yantarne, Uspenivka, Vremivka and in the direction of Kostiantynopil and Novosilka.
Situation in the douth and north
In the Orikhivsk sector, the enemy twice tried to advance towards Novoandriivka.
In the Prydniprovskyi sector, Russian invaders attacked our positions three times. They received a tough rebuff and suffered losses.
In the Kursk region, Ukrainian defenders repelled 17 attacks by the invading army.
In the Volyn and Polissia directions, no signs of enemy offensive groups were detected.
On the border with Chernihiv and Sumy regions, the enemy is actively using artillery and UAVs in the vicinity of Ukrainian settlements from the territory of the Russian Federation.
Losses of the occupiers
In total, the Russian invaders suffered 1,610 casualties over the last day. Ukrainian troops also neutralised five tanks, 27 armoured combat vehicles, 34 artillery systems, 12 operational and tactical UAVs, 75 vehicles and one unit of occupiers' special equipment.
