For first time in history, Magura V5 naval drone destroyed air target - Russian Mi-8 helicopter in Crimea - DIU. VIDEO
On 31 December 2024, the DIU 's "Group 13" special unit hit an air target for the first time in history using a Magura V5 maritime strike drone equipped with missile weapons.
This was reported by Censor.NET with reference to the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine's press centre.
As noted, during a battle in the Black Sea near Cape Tarkhankut in the temporarily occupied Crimea, a Russian Mi-8 helicopter was destroyed by R-73 "SeeDragon" missiles. Another similar enemy helicopter was hit by fire and managed to reach its home airfield.
As reported, on the evening of 30 December and on the night of 31 December, explosions were heard in Sevastopol, and the occupiers claim that Crimea was attacked by a UAV.
Earlier, the DIU reported that the enemy headquarters along with the occupiers in Zaporizhzhia had been destroyed.
