Putin wants to end talks on war in Ukraine by May 9 - Sky News

The Kremlin hopes to complete negotiations on the war in Ukraine by May 9, 2025.
This is stated in the material of Sky News, Censor.NET reports.
The publication notes that both Ukraine and Russia have recently expressed their readiness to make concessions to reach a peace agreement.
"Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy told Sky News that he was ready to give up territory, while Vladimir Putin said that Russia was ready to compromise. This is a dramatic change in tone brought about by the election of Donald Trump. Negotiations and a deal seem inevitable. Whatever the outcome, Russia will present it as a victory," the report said.
According to Sky News, the Kremlin hopes to conclude the talks by May 9, which marks the 80th anniversary of the Soviet Union's victory over Nazi Germany.
"The goal will be a double celebration," the newspaper's analyst writes.
But the problems for Putin will not end there. As the Russian economy will face skyrocketing inflation, a falling ruble, and low productivity.
