NATO fighter jets take to sky twice to intercept Russian planes in Baltic States in week

Between December 23 and 29, NATO fighter jets patrolling the airspace over the Baltic Sea made two flights to detect and escort Russian aircraft.
This was reported by Censor.NET with reference to Euopean Pravda.
The first incident occurred on December 23, when NATO fighters were taken into the air to detect an Il-20 aircraft that was flying without a flight plan and using a radar relay station. The plane was flying from mainland Russia to the Kaliningrad region.
On the same day, NATO also scrambled fighter jets to identify an IL-76 that had violated air rules. Two days later, on December 25, NATO fighter jets made another flight to identify an An-26 aircraft that also approached the Baltic airspace.
As reported earlier, last month, NATO fighter jets conducting an air patrol mission in the Baltic region flew seven times to identify and escort Russian aircraft that violated air traffic regulations.
