Ukraine disrupts Russia’s military logistics in the Black Sea

Ukraine's Navy has dealt a serious blow to Russia's naval logistics in the Black Sea, making it virtually impossible for it to function sustainably.

This was announced by the spokesman for the Ukrainian Navy Dmytro Pletenchuk on the air of the telethon "United News", Censor.NET reports.

According to him, the Russians lost two large landing ships and railroad ferries, which were an important part of the logistics. Russia was transporting significant cargo by ferries, including 25 fuel tanks or railroad cars. Currently, the occupiers use car ferries for military purposes, but their capabilities are significantly limited.

"After that, they have only car ferries left, which they use for military purposes as well. Therefore, the Russians' naval logistics by sea has been interrupted thanks to the efforts of the Ukrainian Defense Forces," Pletenchuk noted.

The occupiers are also forced to rely on the Crimean Bridge as the only stable route between Crimea and mainland Russia. However, its use is limited due to damage, which makes it difficult to transport by rail.

"They cannot use the railroad in full because of the damage to the bridge. However, we shouldn't forget that they can transport a lot of cargo by land," he added.

As a reminder, on December 2, Ukrainian intelligence reported that two Russian Mi-8 helicopters were destroyed in a successful operation near the occupied Crimea.
