Zelenskyy signs law on demobilization of military in case of death or disappearance of half-siblings

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has signed a law allowing military personnel to be discharged from service during martial law in the event of the death or disappearance of their half-brother or sister.
This is stated in the card of the relevant document No. 11531 on the website of the Verkhovna Rada, Censor.NET reports.
The law proposes to restore the right of servicemen to be discharged from military service due to the death or disappearance of their half-brother or sister while participating in hostilities.
The explanatory note to bill No. 11531 explains that previously only those servicemen whose full brothers or sisters were killed or went missing (i.e., those who have common parents) had such rights.
The authors of the bill added that, according to the Family Code of Ukraine, both full and half-siblings are considered siblings.
