Truck driver killed in Kyiv region by shrapnel from "shahed"

On the night of 3 January, air defence forces were operating in the Kyiv region. As a result of the fall of debris in three districts, one person was killed and one injured.

According to Censor.NET, this was reported by the temporary acting head of the Kyiv Regional State Administration Mykola Kalashnyk.

"As a result of an enemy air attack on the Kyiv region, one person was killed and four were wounded," he said in a statement.

In one of the districts of the region, a truck driver was wounded by the wreckage of a downed target. The man died at the scene.

In another area, the wreckage of a downed UAV fell on a private house, causing a roof fire. Three people were injured. A woman born in 1957 suffered an acute stress reaction. A 16-year-old boy suffered a cut. He will be hospitalised in a children's hospital. His father has cut wounds to his legs.

In another settlement, a woman was injured by shrapnel in the street. She was hospitalised in a local hospital. All necessary medical assistance is being provided

"The air raid alert in the region is still ongoing. We appeal to every resident - stay in shelters during the threat. Take care of yourself and your loved ones," Kalashnyk said.

As a reminder, Russian drones launched on the night of 3 January attacked Kyiv again. Air defence forces were engaged.
