Defense Forces eliminate 171 and wound 218 invaders in Pokrovsk direction - General Staff
The defense forces are directing their efforts to thwart the Russian invaders' offensive plans and deplete their combat potential. Since the beginning of the day, 159 combat engagements have taken place.

Russian shelling of Ukraine
The enemy conducted 28 air strikes, dropping 59 GABs, 750 kamikaze strikes, and fired 3886 times at the positions of our troops.
The situation in the Kharkiv region
In the Kharkiv direction, our troops repelled four enemy attacks near Vovchansk and Tykhe. One enemy attack is currently underway near Tavilzhanka.
The aggressor made three attacks on our fortifications in the Kupiansk direction near Topoli, Holubivka and Petropavlivka. Our defenders successfully repelled all the attacks, while the enemy was not successful.
Hostilities in the East
In the Lyman direction, Russian troops stormed Ukrainian positions 13 times in the areas of Novoserhiivka, Nadiia, Pershotravneve, Cherneshchyna, Makiivka, Zarichne, Terny and Ivanivka. One combat engagement is still ongoing.
In the Siversk direction, our troops repelled seven enemy attacks in the vicinity of Bilohorivka.
In the Kramatorsk direction, the enemy attacked seven times near Vasyukivka, Bondarne, Chasiv Yar and Stupochky. Two combat engagements are still ongoing.
In the Toretsk direction, the occupiers stormed the positions of our defenders seven times today in the areas of Toretsk, Pivnichne and Shcherbynivka. Two combat engagements are ongoing.
In the Pokrovsk direction, the enemy carried out 38 assault and offensive actions during the day. The Russian occupiers were most active in the areas of Tarasivka, Vodiane Druha, Yelizavetivka, Promin, Lysivka, Sukhyi Yar, Zelene, Novyi Trud, Pokrovsk, Kotlynne, Novovasylivka and Nadiivka. The enemy used 16 guided aerial bombs in Pokrovsk.
According to preliminary estimates, today our troops eliminated 171 and wounded 218 invaders in total in this area; destroyed two armored combat vehicles and two motorcycles, in addition, significantly damaged a tank and four invaders' vehicles.
The enemy is also attacking intensively in the Kurakhove direction. As of this time of day, there have been 17 combat engagements. Our troops repelled the attacks near Sribne, Slovianka, Petropavlivka, Andriivka, Kurakhove and Dachne. One firefight is currently underway.
The situation in the South
In the Vremivka direction, the enemy tried to break through 20 times near the settlements of Yantarne, Kostiantynopolske, Uspenivka, Kostiantynopil, Novosilka and Pryvilne, two combat engagements are still ongoing.
In the Huliaipole direction, our troops repelled one enemy attack in the area of Novosilka. The enemy was not successful.
In the Prydniprovske direction, the enemy tried to push the Defense Forces in the area of Kozatskyi Island twice without success.
In the Orikhiv direction, the enemy did not conduct any active operations.
Kursk direction
In the Kursk direction, Ukrainian troops repelled 25 invaders' attacks today, and six more engagements are ongoing.
There were no significant changes in the situation in other directions.
Today, we would like to recognize the Ukrainian soldiers of the 28th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after the Knights of the Winter Campaign, the 68th Separate Ranger Brigade named after Oleksa Dovbush, the 100th Separate Mechanized Brigade, the 25th Separate Sicheslav Airborne Brigade, the 102nd Separate Territorial Defense Brigade and the 79th Border Guard Detachment, who are steadfastly holding back the enemy's superior forces.
