Ministry of Defence has approved new standards of premedical training for military

The Ministry of Defence of Ukraine has introduced new standards of premedical training that will help military personnel provide effective assistance in combat conditions.
This was reported by Censor.NET with reference to the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine.
Two key standards of first aid have been approved:
- A typical standard for basic first aid training covers the treatment of bleeding, respiratory distress, trauma and other critical conditions. This level is aimed at general military training.
- A typical standard for advanced first aid training includes training for riflemen, sergeants and officers. The training includes techniques for moving the wounded, assessing respiratory and circulatory status, evacuation and working in adverse conditions.
The new standards include the use of multimedia, mobile applications, and simulation exercises in conditions close to combat. Knowledge will be assessed through tests and practical exercises.
"We hear the needs of the frontline, and one of them is quality training. The skills and knowledge required to successfully provide first aid must be regulated. We have been developing new standards based on the unique combat experience of our medics and soldiers gained in the fight against Russian aggression and the standards of our partner countries. Thanks to the implementation of this practice by the Ministry of Defence, servicemen will gain more relevant practical knowledge and skills that will help save lives on the battlefield," said Oksana Sukhorukova, Director of the Defence Healthcare Department.
As a reminder, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi approved the initiative to create a separate medical unit in the Armed Forces.
