Ministry of Defence presented Strategy for Attracting and Retaining People in Defence Forces until 2027

The Ministry of Defence of Ukraine has presented the Strategy for Attracting, Developing and Retaining Human Capital in the Defence Forces until 2027.
This was reported by the Ministry of Defence, Censor.NET informs.
The document covers the entire professional career of a serviceman: from joining the service to completing his career and reintegrating into civilian life.
The main innovations are:
- A transparent remuneration system that guarantees fair pay.
- Career opportunities through clear mechanisms of professional advancement.
- Improved medical care and rehabilitation for the military.
- Social support, including support for the families of those killed or missing.
- Modern military education and integration of basic training into higher education institutions.
"Our servicemen are the backbone of the state's defence capability. Therefore, we must provide them with proper service conditions, career opportunities, psychological, medical and social support. All this will significantly increase the motivation of citizens to defend their homeland and secure the status of a prestigious profession for military service," said Deputy Minister of Defence Serhii Melnyk.
A key aspect of the strategy is the implementation of Euro-Atlantic standards and cooperation with NATO, which will increase the readiness of units for joint operations.
These measures, according to Colonel Mark Andrusiak, Director of the Ministry of Defence's Personnel Policy Department, will give the military a clear understanding of career prospects, increase motivation to serve and support the country's European integration.
"The Human Potential Development Strategy is a comprehensive document that defines the vision of the Defence Forces on the institutional and process transformation of the system of attracting, developing and retaining human capital, taking into account all aspects of military service both in active combat and in the post-war period," he said.
As a reminder, the Cabinet of Ministers supported the launch of the "Destruction Report" project in the Defence Forces of Ukraine, which will allow for digitalisation and streamlining of reporting on the results of combat operations in our troops.
