Norway to allocate €2 billion for military aid to Ukraine in 2025 - Umierov

Rustem Umierov

In 2025, Norway will provide the largest military aid in its history - more than €2 billion for Ukraine.

According to Censor.NET, this was reported by Defence Minister Rustem Umierov.

As part of his work during Ramstein, Umierov met with Norwegian Defence Minister Bjørn Arild Gram.

The interlocutors discussed the priority areas for using this aid.

Special attention was paid to the issue of strengthening air defence systems - this is a critical area, and we count on Norway's support.

Norway will also continue to invest in Ukraine's defence industry and joint projects, including the production of ammunition. We discussed a new mechanism of cooperation - the "Norwegian model" - which will complement the already successful "Danish model" and strengthen our defence capabilities.

"Norway is one of the countries that helps not only on the battlefield but also promotes the unification of European countries to support our country. I thanked Mr Bjørn Arild Gram for Norway's leadership in the Maritime Capabilities Coalition and for his significant contribution to supporting Ukraine," Umierov said.
