There are still 867 people left on left bank of Kupiansk region, situation is critical. There is no infrastructure whatsoever - head of CMA Besedin

Situation in Kupiansk on January 10

There is no electricity, gas, or water supply on the left bank of Kupiansk. In addition, hospitals, pharmacies, and shops are closed. The only thing that is being done on the left bank is evacuation measures.

According to Censor.NET, the head of the Kupiansk City Military Administration, Andriy Besedin, told Hromadske Radio about this on air.

"The only thing we are doing there is to organize mandatory evacuation. People are being persuaded to leave the territory, the enemy is constantly shelling," said Besedin.

He emphasized that there are 867 people left in the city, mostly people with limited mobility and the elderly. They cannot be forcibly evacuated, as there is no legal framework.

At the same time, the Russians are trying to destroy the logistical routes that allow for evacuation from the left bank of the Oskil River.

People who have evacuated are receiving an allowance of UAH 10,800 and social housing in Kharkiv and other cities such as Poltava, Zhytomyr, Rivne, Chernivtsi, Chop, Ivano-Frankivsk, and Lviv.

"The situation on the right bank of the community is somewhat better. There are communications, electricity, and water supply. Hospitals, the city council, utilities, shops, pharmacies, and bus services to Kharkiv are open," Besedin added.

As a reminder, more than 8 thousand people are to be evacuated in the Kharkiv region, including from Kupiansk and 29 settlements of the Borivska district.
