EU allocates €148 million for humanitarian aid to Ukraine

The European Commission has allocated an additional 148 million euros for humanitarian projects in Ukraine and support for Ukrainian refugees in Moldova.
According to Censor.NET, citing Yevropeiska Pravda, this is stated in a statement posted by the European Commission's press service.
As noted, the funds will be used for humanitarian projects in Ukraine and Moldova. Together with this €148 million package, the total amount of funds allocated by the European Commission for humanitarian aid to Ukraine reaches more than €1.1 billion.
It is reported that 140 million of this amount has been allocated for humanitarian projects directly in Ukraine.
"The funding will be used to provide immediate support, such as food, shelter, clean water, healthcare, and winterization. The key priorities are to support vulnerable populations in eastern and southern Ukraine, which are severely affected by the war," the statement said.
The remaining 8 million will be spent on projects in Moldova, including support for Ukrainian refugees and the communities that host them. This includes, among other things, financial support, access to healthcare and education, and psychological support.
