Specialists of the Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces are being transferred to the infantry. Mobile fire groups are also being reduced.
This was reported by People`s Deputy of the "Servant of the People" party Mariana Bezuhla, Censor.NET reports.
"Currently, under the orders of the Commander-in-Chief of the AFU Syrskyi, personnel from the Air Force—technicians, mechanics, and other specialists—are being intensively reassigned to the infantry. Mobile firing groups are being downsized, leaving entire regions vulnerable. Meanwhile, headquarters are not being reduced; in fact, they are quietly expanding to fill officer positions. For instance, a division is being formed," she noted.
The aviation technical staff of the Air Force of Ukraine also issued an appeal in which they stressed that today they face "a real challenge that could jeopardise not only our ability to perform combat missions, but also destroy the very foundation of our aviation".
"Our unit received a telegram about the transfer of almost all technicians to the infantry, which means we will be left without technical staff to service our aircraft. Previously, 250 people have already been transferred, and now they plan to transfer another 218. The technical staff is being virtually destroyed, and without us, the aviation will not be able to function. We are trying to maintain combat readiness, but it is simply impossible without maintenance staff. And if we do not receive support and publicity now, we will lose the opportunity not only to defend our land, but also to lose the very basis of our aviation," they said.
Aviation technicians from the 114th Prykarpattia Air Force Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine also called for publicizing the situation with the transfer of personnel to the infantry.
"Aviation cannot function without technical staff. We have worked alongside legendary pilots such as Dzhus, Karaшa, Smereka, and each of us firmly believes in our mission and loyalty to the Motherland. We also provide training and resumption of flight training for KhNUAF graduates," they added.
