South Korea is ready to take back two DPRK soldiers who were captured by Ukraine - Yonhap

The South Korean government plans to hold consultations with Ukraine on the possibility of handing over two North Korean soldiers who were captured during the fighting in Ukraine.
This was stated by the spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of South Korea Lee Jae-wong, Censor.NET reports citing Yonhap.
"Since North Korean soldiers are our citizens under the Constitution, the government plans to hold talks with Ukraine if they ask to transfer to South Korea," Lee Jae-wong said.
It should be noted that the Constitution of South Korea recognizes the entire Korean peninsula as its territory, thus, all residents of the peninsula are automatically citizens of this country.
According to the spokesperson, neither of the two captured soldiers expressed a desire to go over to the side of South Korea, adding that they are in contact with Ukraine on these issues.

As a reminder, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Ukraine is ready to hand over its soldiers to DPRK dictator Kim Jong-un if he can organize an exchange for our soldiers held captive in Russia.
Earlier, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that the Defense Forces had captured two DPRK soldiers. They are already communicating with the SSU.
Later, the SSU reported that they were conducting investigative actions with the DPRK prisoners.
It was also reported that operators of the Tactical Group No. 84 of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine captured a North Korean soldier during special operations in the Kursk region of the Russian Federation.
