Defense forces have advantage in using drones in Lyman direction - 63rd SMB

The use of drones at the front

Currently, Ukrainian soldiers in the Lyman direction have an advantage over Russian troops in the use of unmanned aerial vehicles.

This was stated by the commander of the 63rd Separate Mechanized Brigade (SMB) Pavlo Yurchuk during a telethon, Censor.NET reports citing RBC-Ukraine.

According to Yurchuk, Ukrainian soldiers use fiber-optic drones that provide high accuracy of strikes.

Up to 80-90% of the enemy's equipment is destroyed by our drones and artillery. The enemy has not yet managed to achieve parity, our forces are superior in terms of the number and accuracy of unmanned systems," he explained.

There are almost no problems with the brigade's supply of drones and artillery. He also added that the supply of ammunition is at a sufficient level, although it has not yet been possible to achieve the ideal. At the same time, the biggest problem remains insufficient replenishment of personnel. However, as Colonel Yurchuk emphasized, even in such circumstances, the Ukrainian army acts cautiously, rationally using human resources, unlike the enemy.

"We do need more people to better hold the defense line. But even with thousands of soldiers, we will not use human resources the way the Russians do. We are well aware that the enemy cannot be defeated by human resources alone," emphasized Yurchuk.
