German Defense Ministry and Armed Forces close accounts on social network X due to Musk’s support for far right

The German Ministry of Defense and the German Armed Forces have left the social network X after American billionaire Elon Musk supported the far-right party Alternative for Germany.

According to Censor.NET, Politico reports.

Thus, the Ministry of Defense claims that the main reason for leaving Platform X was that "an objective exchange of arguments is becoming increasingly difficult."

According to Politico, the move could spark a debate among the German government about whether other government agencies should also stop publishing on X.

It is noted that the decision of the Ministry of Defense was made after more than 60 universities and research institutions from Germany and Austria announced their withdrawal from X.

This happened after Musk had a conversation with the leader of the far-right Alternative for Germany party, Alice Weidel, during which they criticized the German government's policies, particularly in the energy sector.
