Enemy stormed Zaporizhzhia direction and island zone at mouth of Dnipro River in Kherson region three times, losing 58 people in day - Defense Forces of South

The operational situation in the south of Ukraine remains stably tense. The composition and nature of the enemy's actions remain unchanged, and no signs of offensive groups have been detected.

This is stated in the report of the Southern Defense Forces on the situation at the front as of January 19, Censor.NET reports.

The occupiers continue to carry out artillery shelling and air strikes, use attack drones of various types, and conduct aerial reconnaissance. Over the past day, the enemy fired 250 times at the positions of our troops. The occupants also carried out air strikes on Zaporizhzhia settlements using anti-aircraft gunships.

"Continuing to terrorize the civilian population of the frontline territories of Dnipro, Zaporizhzhia, Kherson regions, the enemy used 389 attack drones, including barrage UAVs of the Zala and Superkam types, and dropped almost 260 fragmentation munitions," the statement said.

Occupation forces continue to storm the positions of our troops in the Zaporizhzhia direction and the island zone at the mouth of the Dnipro River in the Kherson region. Over the past day, 3 enemy assaults were recorded.

The enemy continues to conduct engineering and aerial reconnaissance at the Huliaipole and Orikhiv directions.

Losses of the Russian army

The defense forces of southern Ukraine continue to repel enemy attacks, constantly inflicting fire on the enemy's locations, positions and rear. Over the past day, 58 occupants were killed.

Enemy losses also amounted to:

• 1 artillery system;
• 13 units of automotive and armored vehicles;
• 1 anti-tank missile system;
• 3 boats;
• 6 motorcycles;
• 1 video surveillance camera "Murom-M";
• 5 Starlink terminals and 4 electronic warfare stations;
• 1 reconnaissance UAV of the Orlan-10 type.

In addition, the following were damaged:

• 12 shelters;
• 6 observation points;
• 2 generators;
• 1 place of storage of ammunition;
• 2 communication antennas;
• 9 UAV control antennas.

As a reminder, since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Ukrainian defenders have eliminated 818,740 Russian invaders.
