Europe must stand up to Trump’s policies, otherwise we will be "crushed" - French PM Bayrou
French Prime Minister Francois Bayrou believes that France and Europe must stand up to Donald Trump and his policies, otherwise they "will be crushed."
He was quoted by Reuters, Censor.NET reports.
Speaking to journalists in the city of Po Bairu, he said that the United States "decided to launch an extremely dominant form of politics through the dollar, through its industrial policy, through the fact that it can capture world investment and world research."
"And if we do nothing, our fate is very simple - we will be dominated. We will be crushed. We will be marginalized. And how we respond is a decision that depends solely on the French people and Europe, because without Europe, we can do nothing," the prime minister said.
As a reminder, Donald Trump will be inaugurated in Washington on January 20, 2025.
