US military aid to Ukraine continues and remains strategically important for Washington as well - MFA
Military aid to Ukraine from the United States is still ongoing.
According to Censor.NET, citing Interfax-Ukraine, this was stated by the spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Heorhii Tykhyi.
"As for the US military aid to Ukraine, this aid is still ongoing. As for the specific amounts that remained in the presidential program, let's see how things develop and how contacts between the Ukrainian and American sides will take place. But I am convinced that all existing issues can be resolved," the spokesman said.
According to him, the US support for Ukraine is a "strategically important thing" for Washington as well.
"We are conveying this to the American side, that this support contributes to stability in Europe and is key, in particular, to achieving a just peace," Tykhyi added.
The Foreign Ministry also reiterated Ukraine's general position that pressure on Russia should consist of two components: military (support for Ukrainians with weapons and technology) and economic (sanctions, use of frozen Russian assets, and isolation of Russia).
