US wants to see Ukraine win - Senator Ernst

US may increase aid to Ukraine

US Senator from the Republican Party Joni Ernst does not rule out that the United States will increase military aid to Ukraine to ensure its victory.

This was reported by Censor.NET with reference to Interfax-Ukraine.

"I do think it's up for discussion," she said at the Davos Ukrainian Breakfast, answering the question of whether Congress is ready to provide more military aid to Ukraine if Putin does not come to the negotiating table.

"We have been ready to provide this military assistance in the past. And if we work hand in hand with President Trump to end the war, I think we can come to that agreement. I don't want to go beyond that, but we want to see Ukraine win," the senator added.

She emphasized the role of Trump's leadership in this regard.

"Can we end this war? I believe that President Trump can provide the necessary leadership to do so. And we stand ready to help.

President Trump is ready to take action, whether it's taxes, tariffs, or additional sanctions, and hold Russia accountable. He wants to end the loss of life. He wants to put an end to the constant infusion of dollars into a war in which we see our friends in Ukraine dying. I am ready to participate in this and I am very excited about the prospect of ending the war by putting extraordinary pressure on President Putin," she explained.

She believes it is necessary to "put an end to what we see as this new axis of evil."

"Russia is now cooperating with North Korea by sending North Korean soldiers to war. They are using weapons made in Iran, and they are using China with its space capabilities. So we also have to put pressure on this new axis of evil," Ernst said.

According to her, the United States "really needs our partners to step up and participate as well... to do their part to fulfill what they promised in NATO."

"Congress is ready and willing to help so that we can end the war," the senator concluded.
