125 combat clashes took place on front last day, more than half in Pokrovsk direction - General Staff
On January 23, 2025, 125 combat clashes between Ukrainian defenders and Russian invaders were recorded.
This is stated in the report of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Censor.NET reports.
Russian strikes in Ukraine
According to updated information, yesterday the enemy launched two missiles and 58 air strikes against the positions of Ukrainian units and localities, including five missiles and 102 drones. In addition, it carried out more than five thousand attacks and used 2,261 kamikaze drones to destroy them.
The aggressor carried out air strikes, in particular, in the areas of Kozacha Lopan, Turov, Mali Prohody, Krasnyi Yar, Borivska Andriivka, Minkivka, Kostiantynivka, Nelipivka, Ulakly, Oleksiivka, Novopil, Novodarivka, Andriivka, and Kostiantynopil.
Strikes on Russia
Over the past day, aviation, missile troops and artillery of the Defense Forces struck 19 areas of concentration of personnel, weapons, military equipment and two enemy artillery systems.
Fighting in the East
In the Kharkiv sector, there was one combat engagement with Russian invaders near Lyptsi.
Ukrainian defense forces repelled assaults near Dvorichna, Zahryzove, and Petropavlivka in the Kupiansk sector, where nine occupants' attacks took place over the last day.
The enemy attacked seven times in the Lyman sector yesterday. They tried to break into our defense near Yampolivka, Novoyehorivka, Zelenyi Hai, and Kopanky.
In the Kramatorsk sector, the occupants attacked twice near Chasiv Yar.
Fifteen attacks were carried out by the enemy in the Toretsk sector near Diliyivka, Krymske, Shcherbynivka, and Toretsk.
In the Pokrovsk sector, our defenders stopped 63 aggressor attacks near the localities of Vodiane Druhe, Myroliubivka, Myrnohrad, Promin, Lysivka, Vidrodzhennia, Uspenivka, Andriivka, Shevchenko, Dachne, Ulakly, and Yantarne.
Defense forces repelled seven enemy attacks in the Novopavlivka sector. The occupants tried to advance near Novodarivka, Kostiantynopil, and Velyka Novosilka.
The situation in the South
In the Prydniprovske sector, Ukrainian troops repelled two attempts by the occupiers to attack the positions of our units yesterday.
The Kursk region
In the Kursk sector, 13 combat engagements took place, the enemy conducted 29 air strikes, using 46 guided aerial bombs, and fired 407 artillery shells.
The situation in the North
No signs of enemy offensive groups forming in the Volyn and Polissia directions have been detected.
Our soldiers are inflicting significant losses in manpower and equipment on the occupation forces and are actively undermining the enemy's offensive potential in the rear.
In total, the losses of the Russian invaders amounted to 1,500 people over the past day. Ukrainian soldiers also neutralized two tanks, 11 armored combat vehicles, 39 artillery systems, one MLRS, 51 operational and tactical UAVs, 87 vehicles, and a unit of special equipment of the occupiers.
