There is risk of operational encirclement of Ukrainian troops near Velyka Novosilka, - OSGT "Khortytsia"

The Defence Forces say there is a threat of operational encirclement of Ukrainian troops in the Novopavlivka direction near Velyka Novosilka.
This was stated by the spokesman for the OSGT "Khortytsia" Viktor Trehubov, Censor.NET reports citing Ukrinform.
"There is no complete encirclement there. There is a risk of an operational encirclement, but efforts are being made to prevent it and to prevent the Russians from blocking the approaches to the village, although they are trying to take them under fire control," he said.
According to Trehubov, the geographical location of Velyka Novosilka, namely the river that crosses the village, creates particular difficulties and limits manoeuvres.
Action plans are currently being developed to mitigate these difficulties, he added.
In this area, as in many others, Russian troops have an advantage, particularly in manpower.
"They are constantly conducting rotations, replenishing personnel, replenishing the forces they already have deployed there, and they still have this resource. It is not as abundant as it used to be, they have started to save it in a certain way, perhaps for the first time during the war, especially in the Pokrovsk direction, but this does not mean that they are in difficulties in this regard. It means that they are not ‘swimming’ in excessive resources," the spokesman concluded.
