Kellogg stated that stricter measures against Russia’s oil industry could compel Moscow to negotiate

Kellogg on how to force Russia to negotiate

US President Donald Trump's special envoy for Ukraine and Russia, Keith Kellogg, said that tougher measures against the Russian oil industry could force the Kremlin to sit down at the negotiating table over the war in Ukraine.

He said this on Fox News, reports "European Pravda", Censor.NET informs.

Kellogg noted that Russia's war against Ukraine will not end "kinetically," that is, on the battlefield, because "not only diplomacy but also the economy plays a key role."

"Russia receives billions of dollars from oil sales. What if we reduce the price to $45 per barrel, which is essentially the break-even point?" said Trump's special representative.

He also added that Trump would be able to end the war "when he starts a dialog."

Earlier it was reported that US President Donald Trump wants to negotiate with Saudi Arabia and OPEC to reduce oil prices, which could "instantly" stop the Russian-Ukrainian war.
