War will not end quickly, but Trump can speed up process by putting economic pressure on Russia, - Zelenskyy

There will be no quick end to Russia's war against Ukraine, but US President Donald Trump can speed up the process through sanctions and economic pressure on Moscow.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said this in an interview with Il Foglio newspaper, Censor.NET reports.
He noted that Trump directly talks about the need to end the war in order to avoid the worst consequences, and this tactic appeals to the Ukrainian president.
"He doesn't warn, he just says that he really wants to end the war. So far, we don't know how it will be because we don't know the details. And I think President Trump himself doesn't know all the details. Because a lot of things, I would say, mostly depend on what we have, what kind of a just peace we can get. And whether Putin, in principle, wants to end the war. And, in my opinion, he does not," Zelenskyy said.
The President believes that Trump understands all these challenges. "And he just says that we have to finish, because it will be worse. And he says worse with a message to Russia," the head of state added.
In his opinion, Trump can accelerate the end of the war through force, sanctions, the strength of the United States, and the economy.
At least he can do it faster than anyone else in the world today. In my opinion, from the point of view of the army, the economy, America's influence on the world economy and his personal characteristics, I believe that he can influence this definitely faster than others," Zelenskyy added.
Earlier it was reported that US President Donald Trump wants to reach an agreement with Saudi Arabia and OPEC to reduce oil prices, which could "instantly" stop the Russian-Ukrainian war.
