DPRK military temporarily withdraw from frontline in Kursk region after heavy losses - Sky News

DPRK troops temporarily withdraw from front in Kursk region

The DPRK military, which is fighting in the Kursk region of the Russian Federation, has temporarily withdrawn from the front line.

According to Censor.NET, citing Sky News, this was reported by the Ukrainian military, who are fighting in the Kursk region.

The soldiers assume that the pause taken by the DPRK military may be due to the fact that they are learning lessons from their mistakes during the first battles with the Ukrainian Defence Forces. However, the Armed Forces of Ukraine do not rule out that the DPRK will "be back soon".

The defenders said that the DPRK mercenaries were unaware of the threats from UAVs and artillery, so they attacked on foot in large groups, as they did during World War II. This made them an easy target.

At the same time, the North Koreans are strongly motivated and continue their offensive despite the losses. However, they try not to leave the bodies of their comrades on the battlefield and take them away.

The Ukrainian military takes DNA samples from the killed soldiers to confirm their participation in the battles in the Kursk region.

North Koreans blow themselves up with grenades to avoid capture. One of the Ukrainian soldiers said that the DPRK soldier was even shouting: "For General Kim Jong Un" before committing suicide.

There is poor coordination between the DPRK and Russian military due to the language barrier. Radio intercepts indicate that the North Koreans even accidentally targeted Russian positions, the military said.
