Bezrukova called on Zelenskyy to stop destruction of DPA, saying it jeopardizes supplies for AFU

The head of the Defence Procurement Agency, Maryna Bezrukova, appealed to President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to intervene in the situation around the Defence Procurement Agency.
She posted this on Facebook, Censor.NET reports.
She called on the head of state to help resolve the situation exclusively through legal means.
"The work of the DPA should be resumed as soon as possible, as further delay puts at risk critical supplies for the Armed Forces of Ukraine and destroys the trust of donors and partners.
The conflict surrounding the Agency brings no benefit to Ukraine. I did not initiate it, and it does no credit to any of the parties, as it affects the army’s supply, national security, and the lives of thousands of Ukrainians. That is why I have consistently advocated for de-escalation and a return to the legal framework, working to reduce the level of public disdain from certain officials of the Ministry of Defense in order to preserve our country’s credibility on the international stage," Bezrukova emphasized.
According to her, the essence of the problem is not just an attempt to dismiss her, but "the systematic dismantling of the institution in violation of all possible laws and Ukraine’s international obligations.
"After the appointment of an interim acting head in a dubious legal manner, who also combines this position with another job, the Agency's work was effectively blocked:
- For a whole week, no payment documents were signed under contracts concluded by the Agency on the foreign and domestic markets;
- No contracts were concluded and agreed upon by all market participants, and a number of important existing transactions were terminated;
- Hundreds of important documents were deliberately put on hold, including regular reports that the Agency sends to the Ministry of Defence, the General Staff and other bodies for operational information and planning.
Meeting the needs of the Armed Forces requires a different pace of work. It is impossible to effectively manage the Agency while working several hours a day on a part-time basis," explained the Head of the DPA.
Bezrukova's appeal to Zelenskyy
"I call on the President of Ukraine to intervene in the situation and:
1. Stop the destruction of the Defence Procurement Agency.
2. Guarantee that the conflict is resolved exclusively through legal means.
3. 3. Ensure the full and stable operation of the DPA, without pressure, blocking and attacks," she said.
What preceded it?
Earlier, the Supervisory Board of the Defense Procurement Agency of the Ministry of Defense signed an additional agreement to the contract with the current director of the Defense Procurement Agency for a period of 1 year.
However, later, the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Rustem Umierov stated that the Defense Procurement Agency had failed in its work over the past six months and announced the dismissal of his deputy Dmytro Klimenkov and the change of the Defense Procurement Agency's management.
Subsequently, Arsen Zhumadilov, head of the State Operator For Non-Lethal Acquisition, confirmed that he would take the second position - head of the Defense Procurement Agency.
At the same time, on Friday, January 24, Maryna Bezrukova said that she remained the current head of the Defense Procurement Agency, despite the Ministry of Defense's refusal to extend her contract.
Subsequently, the record of the director of the Defence Procurement Agency was changed once again in the Unified State Register of Legal Entities. Instead of Arsen Zhumadilov, Maryna Bezrukova was again listed as the director.
The Ministry of Defense has filed a complaint with the Ministry of Justice regarding the return of Maryna Bezrukova to the position of the head of the State Enterprise "Defense Procurement Agency".
The entry on the director of the Defense Procurement Agency in the Unified State Register was changed again.
