"In March 2022, the platoon commander, along with other Russian Armed Forces servicemen, while patrolling the streets of Bucha, noticed a local resident walking to his home. Without any warning, they opened fire with assault rifles in the direction of the man. The victim managed to run to the territory of the nearest household and hid in the house.

The suspect followed the victim, found his hiding place and shot him with an assault rifle. The platoon commander approached the man, who was lying on the floor without signs of life, kicked him and concluded that the victim was dead. However, the victim sustained moderate injuries and survived," they said.

This is the second time the suspected racist has been prosecuted for actions related to the intentional killing of civilians.

He is currently being served a notice of suspicion of completed attempted violation of the laws and customs of war, combined with intentional murder (Part 2 of Article 15, Part 2 of Article 438).
