Ukraine is ready to extract minerals together with partners, - Zelenskyy

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Ukraine is open to American investment in the extraction of rare earth resources.
The head of state said this during a press conference with IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi, Censor.NET reports.
"We have enough rare earth metals, and you can see that Russia has been occupying our territories since 2014. In part, there are indeed large mineral deposits there. We are open to the fact that minerals can be developed with our partners who help us protect our land and push the enemy back with their weapons, their presence, sanctions packages. And this is absolutely fair," Zelenskyy said.
He also recalled that back in September he discussed with Trump the possibility of American investment in Ukraine.
"We are open to the arrival of investments from American companies, and we will gladly accept them. Why? Because if this area is controlled by Russia, other countries and companies will enter. I am sure that Iran and North Korea will be among them. I talked to him about this - these are facts. I would like American business, which is very interested in entering the Ukrainian market, to develop this area here," the president said.
Zelensky added that Ukraine's "Victory Plan" includes a clause that provides for investments in this industry.
To recap, the day before, US President Donald Trump said he was trying to find a way to exchange Ukraine's rare earth metals for American aid.
