Emergency blackouts introduced in 8 regions - "Ukrenergo"

On the morning of 7 February, emergency power outages were forced in Kharkiv, Sumy, Donetsk, Poltava, Zaporizhzhia, Kirovohrad, Dnipropetrovsk and Cherkasy (partially) regions.

According to Censor.NET, this was reported by NPC "Ukrenergo".

"The reason for the emergency blackouts is the consequences of Russian missile and drone attacks on electricity generation and transmission facilities," the statement said.

The company noted that industrial consumers are disconnected first (where possible). Currently, restrictions do not apply to household consumers (except for emergencies in the networks of oblenergo).

"The schedules of emergency outages are cancelled as soon as the situation in the power system allows it," "Ukrenergo" added.
