Zelenskyy on contract with Armed Forces for young people aged 18-24: They will be able to earn UAH 1 million year

Zelenskyy revealed the details of the contract for young people aged 18-24

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Ukrainians aged 18 to 24 who sign contracts to serve in the Armed Forces of Ukraine will be able to earn UAH 1 million a year. The details will be officially presented in the coming days.

He said this during a briefing with the President of the European Investment Bank Nadia Calvino, Censor.NET reports citing UNIAN.

According to Zelenskyy, in addition to monetary remuneration, after 1 year of service, admission to universities without exams and free tuition are provided.

He noted that the details of the contract will be officially presented "tomorrow or the day after tomorrow, in the next 2-3 days."

I think it's really a very good offer for people who want to sign a one-year contract. Yes, they can extend it if they want, but it's a one-year contract. And there, in the next few days - tomorrow or the day after tomorrow, in the next two or three days, all the details will be official. And some of the things are that a person will be able to earn plus one million hryvnias in a year. In addition, they will be able to choose a higher education institution without any exams after this year of war and study for free. The state will pay for everything," Zelenskyy said.

The state will also cover all mortgage interest for such contract workers.

"Thirdly, I would like to draw attention to the special mortgage conditions - 0%. All interest will be covered by the state," the President emphasized.

According to him, this initiative comes from military commanders, from the Ministry of Defense. The details were discussed with the commanders, as well as separately with Pavlo Palisa and Deputy Defense Minister, General Yevhen Moisiuk.

Zelenskyy noted that there are still many details, and "the conditions are very important - where they go, to which brigades."
"This is an experimental contract, and all this will be in detail. There is a lot of stuff there," the head of state added.

Earlier, Pavlo Palisa, the deputy head of the Presidential Administration, said that Ukraine is exploring new ways to attract people to the army, as the current conscription system inherited from the Soviet era is slowing down progress.
