US Ambassador Tracy visits Russian Foreign Ministry: Discusses "activities of foreign missions"

US Ambassador to Russia Lynn Tracy

US Ambassador to Moscow Lynn Tracy made an unexpected visit to the Russian Foreign Ministry on Tuesday, February 11.

According to Censor.NET, this was reported by the Russian propaganda agency RIA Novosti.

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said that Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov had held a scheduled meeting with the US Ambassador.

According to her, Ryabkov discussed with Lynn Tracy the activities of foreign institutions.

Earlier, neither the Russian ministry nor the U.S. diplomatic mission reported on the reasons and goals of her visit.

Tracy's visit took place amid reports that the US presidential administration and Russia have begun to cooperate on the Russian-Ukrainian war.

According to the Flightradar24 portal, a Gulfstream G650ER aircraft belonging to US Special Representative for the Middle East Steve Vitkoff arrived in the morning of February 11 from Washington to Moscow.

The Kremlin and Rosaviatsia denied that Vitkoff had visited Moscow.

According to the New York Post, Trump said in an interview that he had spoken to Putin on the phone to try to negotiate an end to the war in Ukraine.

The Russian dictator's spokesman Dmitry Peskov could not confirm or deny the phone conversation between Vladimir Putin and US President Donald Trump, which was previously reported by the media.
