This week, as well as next week, Ukraine will talk with partners about strengthening its air defense capabilities.
This was stated by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in his evening video address, Censor.NET reports.
"This week and next week we will talk with our partners about the greater capabilities of our air defense - the entire protection of the sky. Every opportunity that exists in the world, every potential contract that can strengthen Ukraine - we pay attention to all this and work as quickly as possible," the head of state said.
In addition, in his address, Zelenskyy thanked all the defenders of the sky.
"Today, first of all, I want to thank all our defenders of the sky. Every unit, every soldier who defends Ukraine from Russian missiles and drones. Today was another blow to our energy sector - almost 20 Russian missiles, including ballistic missiles, and almost 125 drones of various types. Most of them were shot down," the Head of State said.
Russia's massive attack on Ukraine on February 11
Today, on February 11, Russia launched a combined attack with missiles of various types of air, land, and sea-based missiles - 19 cruise, ballistic, and guided missiles in total - on gas production facilities in Poltava region.
Ukrainian air defense confirmed the downing of 57 drones, and another 64 simulator drones were lost. The attack affected Poltava, Chernihiv, Kharkiv, and Cherkasy regions.
