Zelenskyy on concessions for peace: Wrong diplomacy rehabilitates Putin

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy responded to U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio's statement that Kyiv and Moscow should make concessions to end the war and emphasized that Russian dictator Vladimir Putin acts like Adolf Hitler.
He said this in an interview with the Economist, Censor.NET reports.
The president noted that Putin is now acting exactly as Adolf Hitler once did.
He also noted that the willingness to sit down at the negotiating table with "this murderer (Putin - ed.)" is already a compromise.
Imagine if Hitler had not killed himself. Imagine that after everything he did to the Jews, people would have said: "Okay, let's find a compromise." Putin is acting like Hitler, and the wrong kind of diplomacy is rehabilitating him. Ukraine is ready to negotiate, but only under the condition of security guarantees that could deter Russia from new aggression," Zelenskyy emphasized.
The head of state added that the history of failed agreements has shown that negotiations and ceasefires "will not work by themselves," which is why clear security guarantees from other allied countries are needed.
Earlier, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that dictator Vladimir Putin would die soon.
As a reminder, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said that Ukraine is being brought back "100 years ago," and therefore both Kyiv and Moscow will have to make concessions to end the war.
