Trump spoke with Putin this morning: discussed war in Ukraine - media (updated)
US President Donald Trump had a phone conversation with Russian dictator Vladimir Putin on the morning of February 12.
According to Censor.NET, CNN reports this with reference to sources.
"President Donald Trump spoke with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Wednesday morning, CNN reported."
No other details about the conversation are available at this time.

On his social network Truth Social, Trump said: "We discussed Ukraine, the Middle East, energy, artificial intelligence, the strength of the dollar, and various other topics.
We agreed to work together, very closely, including visiting each other's countries. We also agreed that our respective teams would begin negotiations immediately, and we will begin by calling President Zelenskyy to brief him on the conversation, which I will do right now," Trump wrote.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that the conversation between Trump and Putin lasted an hour and a half.
Peskov also said that Putin invited Trump to Moscow.
In addition, Putin agreed with Trump that a long-term settlement in Ukraine could be achieved through negotiations, Peskov added.
On February 7, US President Donald Trump said that he was likely to meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy next week. Zelenskyy later announced talks with Trump's team. Zelenskyy also wants Trump to meet with him first and then with Putin.
The Russian dictator's spokesman, Dmitry Peskov, could not confirm or deny the phone conversation between Vladimir Putin and US President Donald Trump, as previously reported by the media.
