US seeks to reach peace deal between Russia and Ukraine and end war - White House

The White House commented on today's contacts between US President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Russian dictator Vladimir Putin.
This was stated by White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt at a briefing, as quoted by Reuters, Censor.NET reports.
According to her, these conversations were ‘very positive’.
"I myself just spoke to the president about these calls, and he told me to tell all of you: they were very good calls. They were very positive. And the administration is wholeheartedly committed to a peace deal to end once and for all the Russia-Ukraine war," she stressed.
What preceded it
As a reminder, US President Donald Trump had a telephone conversation with Russian dictator Vladimir Putin on the morning of 12 February.
They talked, in particular, about the war in Ukraine.
