Russian strike on Chornobyl NPP: fire extinguishing continues, no radiation leak

As of the morning of February 15, no radiation leaks have been recorded at the site of the Chornobyl NPP and the New Safe Confinement (NSC).

According to Censor.NET, this was reported by the State Agency of Ukraine on Exclusion Zone Management.

"No deterioration of the radiation situation at the NSC-OU industrial site and at the ChNPP in general was recorded. No release of radioactive products beyond the established limits was detected," the statement said.

It is reported that the fire of the filler of the outer cladding of the arch of the New Safe Confinement continues to be extinguished. As of 07.00, 40 rescuers and 8 units of equipment are involved in extinguishing the fire.

The destruction of about 15 square meters was recorded.
