"Ukraine is winning. We are building three plants in Ukraine," Rheinmetall CEO Papperger

Rheinmetall intends to open three plants in Ukraine. The course of the war will not affect these plans.
According to Censor.NET, this was stated by Armin Papperger, CEO of the German defense concern Rheinmetall AG, in an interview with DW.
"We are pleased with the cooperation. We were the first to launch an equipment repair plant in Ukraine, now we are building an ammunition plant, and we would like to build an anti-aircraft systems plant as the third," Papperger said.
According to him, the ammunition plant will start operating only in 2026.
"As I said, we have had delays," he clarified, noting that some bureaucratic barriers are currently preventing the rapid opening of plants in Ukraine.
He also noted that the war in Ukraine has not had a significant impact on the plant's operations.
"Almost no, we are not on the front line. The main fighting is taking place there. Yes, there are rocket attacks, you know that better than I. But you can prepare for that. It does not affect production," he clarified.
"We keep our word. Our strategy is to build three plants in Ukraine, and it does not depend on whether there is a war or not," he said.
"I am impressed by the knowledge of people in Ukraine and their motivation. The Ukrainians who work in my factories are very motivated, they know what they are doing and they are very well trained. That is, from a human point of view, Ukraine is certainly winning, despite all the suffering it is unfortunately experiencing," he said.
