Such strikes should lead to cooperation of all partners to force Russia to peace, - Zelenskyy on Shahed attack on Mykolaiv

Today, February 16, 2025, at night, Russian troops targeted the critical infrastructure of Mykolaiv.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy wrote about this on Telegram, Censor.NET reports.
"Today, more than a hundred thousand people in Mykolaiv were left without heating as a result of a Russian "shahed" attack on the city's critical infrastructure. This is an ordinary Ukrainian city, ordinary civilian infrastructure. This has nothing to do with the fighting and the situation at the frontline, it proves once again that the Russians are fighting against our people, against life in Ukraine. And they are fighting viciously, without relenting. Those who really want to restore peace and are preparing for negotiations do not do this," he noted.
The President said that repair teams were actively working to restore heating to Mykolaiv.
"We will continue to work together with our partners to strengthen the defense against such attacks. And all partners must work equally actively at all levels to prevent Russia from dragging out this war or making the threat to life permanent.
"We need to push Russia to peace. The recent Shahed attack on the shelter at the Chornobyl nuclear power plant, this attack on Mykolaiv, and all other similar Russian attacks should lead to a strong reaction, to strong cooperation between all our partners, and to work together to force Russia to peace. I am grateful to everyone who helps Ukraine and Ukrainians!" the president emphasized.
Earlier, Censor.NET reported that on the night of Sunday, February 16, explosions were heard in Mykolaiv.
It was also noted that the Russian invaders had launched attack drones on the territory of Ukraine. In particular, there were reports of a threat to Mykolaiv and the region. Later, it became known that a critical infrastructure facility had been damaged, and part of the city was left without heating. Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal said that enemy UAVs had damaged the city's thermal power plant.
