On the morning of 17 February 2025, emergency power outages were introduced in Kyiv, Kyiv and Dnipropetrovsk regions.
This was reported by Censor.NET with reference to DTEK's press centre.
"At the command of 'Ukrenergo', emergency power outages are being introduced in the city of Kyiv, Kyiv and Dnipropetrovsk regions," the statement said.
Later, "Ukrenergo" clarified that emergency power outages had been introduced in Ukraine.
"The reason for the tightening of restrictive measures is the consequences of Russian attacks on energy facilities. First of all, industrial consumers and businesses are being cut off," the statement said.
"Ukrenergo" emphasises that restrictions for household consumers are applied only in certain cases (except for emergencies in the networks of oblenergo).
