US to hold separate meetings with Russia and Ukraine, then trilateral talks - NBC

Ukraine was not invited to the talks in Saudi Arabia, but the US plans to hold a bilateral meeting with Russia, then a bilateral meeting with Ukraine, and then a joint trilateral meeting on the results of the previous two rounds.
This was reported by NBC, Censor.NET reports.
Two senior sources said that the Trump administration would first meet with representatives of the Russian Federation. This is likely to happen on 18 February.
"All to say we are working with both (Russia and Ukraine - Ed.) with the same weight. We want to end the killing and get headed to lasting peace," the source said.
NBC notes that in recent days, the US has been reluctant to talk about what kind of concessions Russia should make for a diplomatic settlement of the war.
