The US Special Envoy for Ukraine and Russia Keith Kellogg will meet with European officials to discuss security guarantees for Ukraine and the possible participation of EU troops in peace initiatives.

This was reported by Censor.NET with reference to Bloomberg.

The meetings will take place amid EU concerns over possible negotiations between the US and Russia. European leaders fear that they may be left out of a process that will affect the security of the entire continent.

According to the newspaper, possible solutions include a new defense aid package for Ukraine, as well as the participation of individual countries in a peacekeeping mission. The UK has already declared its readiness to send its troops if necessary. At the same time, Poland has no plans to send troops, but is ready to support the logistics of the peacekeeping operation.

In addition to military guarantees, the United States is considering economic support for Ukraine, including expanding access to European markets in the context of European integration.

As a reminder, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced the visit of Trump's special representative for Ukraine and Russia, Keith Kellogg, to Ukraine on February 20, 2025.
