Klytschko discusses further aid to Kyiv and Ukraine with Mayor of London
Mayor of Kyiv Vitalii Klytschko met with Mayor of London Sadiq Khan. During the meeting, they discussed issues of self-government and post-war reconstruction of Ukraine.
Klytschko announced this on his Telegram channel, Censor.NET reports.
"I met in London with the mayor of the capital of Great Britain, Sadiq Khan. We discussed the situation in Kyiv and Ukraine. And further cooperation between our cities. We also discussed issues of local government, the need to implement reforms in Ukraine and London's future assistance in the post-war recovery of Kyiv and Ukraine," Klitschko wrote.
The mayor of Kyiv also thanked his colleague for the assistance that the UK and its capital provide to Ukraine and Kyiv in particular. He also emphasized the importance of working together to deter Russian aggression.
"At a critical time for our country, a common position and unity of partners around Ukraine is important. We want the victims, the destruction, the three years of bloody struggle to be in vain for the Ukrainian people. It is important that the establishment of peace in our country is not a short-term pause before Putin's further aggression. And we must now talk about this with all partners and friends of Ukraine who help us," Klytschko emphasized.
Earlier it was reported that during the Munich Security Conference, Vitalii Klytschko met with the head of the German Chancellor's Office, Minister Wolfgang Schmidt, German Finance Minister Jörg Kukis, Estonian Defense Minister Hanno Pevkur, French Presidential Special Representative for Ukraine's aid and reconstruction Pierre Heilbronn, Latvian Foreign Minister Baiba Braže, and other European politicians.
It was also reported that the Kyiv mayor met with Warsaw Mayor Rafał Trzaskowski and Munich Mayor Dieter Reiter. They discussed further cooperation and assistance to Ukraine.
