Ambassador Mathernova: EU is confident about where funds provided for Ukraine are going

The European Union has robust processes in place to monitor where funds are spent in Ukraine.
This was stated by the EU Ambassador to Ukraine Katarina Mathernova, Censor.NET reports citing Ukrinform.
"I cannot speak for the United States or its president. I can say that in all of our support for Ukraine, we had very reliable processes that allowed us to see where the money was going," Mathernova emphasized.
She noted that a large part of the EU funds was budget support that went to the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine.
The European Union also provided money through grants for NGOs and for projects that were the responsibility of UN organizations, financial institutions, and national agencies.
"So we are confident about where the money goes," Mathernova added.
Earlier, US President Donald Trump said that the United States has already allocated about $350 billion in aid to Ukraine, but the lack of reporting on the use of these funds is a concern.
