Ministry of Defense launches new model for providing Armed Forces with UAVs, in particular, introduces DOT-Chain system in procurement

The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine is introducing a new model for providing drones. The Defense Procurement Agency (DPA) has presented manufacturers with new rules of interaction between the state, the army and business.
This was announced by Defense Minister Rustem Umierov, Censor.NET reports.
Today, a meeting was held with representatives of more than 200 Ukrainian drone manufacturers.
"These companies create technologies that change the course of the war: they destroy enemy tanks, infantry, shoot down helicopters, help with intelligence and logistics, and hit key enemy targets thousands of kilometers inland. Our task is to ensure fast and uninterrupted supply of the best UAVs for our soldiers," said Umerov.
That is why a new model of UAV procurement is being launched. The Defense Procurement Agency (DPA) has presented manufacturers with new rules of interaction between the state, the army and business.
In particular, the DOT-Chain system will be introduced in the procurement of drones.
It has already been successfully used in non-lethal procurement and will now help with this:
- Deliver drones to the frontline faster - units will be able to choose the UAVs they need, and the delivery time will be reduced from months to a few weeks.
- To support manufacturers - they will receive predictable orders and be able to plan production scaling.
- Create transparent rules - clear supply mechanisms will stimulate competition and market development.
The Minister of Defense noted that the DOT-Chain Defense System gives brigades the ability to determine which drones they need, depending on the situation on the battlefield. At the same time, manufacturers will get a clear picture of demand and will be able to plan production more efficiently.
"Thus, we are creating a system that will work stably and smoothly. Together with the manufacturers, we are working to ensure that no military personnel have to wait for weeks or months for what they need. The Ministry of Defense is open to dialogue and joint work," Umerov said.
