Former POWs will be able to receive disability status and state support - Ministry of Health

In Ukraine, people who survived illegal detention and torture during the war will now be able to receive disability status and appropriate state aid.
This was reported by the Ministry of Health, Censor.NET reports.
"From now on, the cause of disability may be the deprivation of personal freedom as a result of armed aggression against Ukraine. This means that people who have survived illegal detention, torture, or suffered other health damage as a result of being in captivity can receive disability status and appropriate state support," the Ministry of Health said in a statement.
As noted, the government's decision has expanded the list of grounds for establishing disability. This provision applies to both civilians and military personnel.
